Having spent some time in prison for stealing from her drug dealer, there is street cred and the relevance of the album's title [and referenced in Wasco], but her main Country credibility is in the clarity in her vocal, beautifully soaring and swooning on From Outer Space. It is gorgeous too on the pedal steel layered Giving Back the Best of Me.
