Pat Travers - Retro Rocket, album review

Simples

It is definitely not rocket science that Retro Rocket blasts off exactly as it states on the cover, Travers riffing and bulldozing butt as he has done for 30+ years. Even more moon-landing era is the old-school guitar work, all power and less additionals, which is why I changed what was 'shredding' to 'riffing' as this resides in the early days of heavy rock guitar, and Travers is playing a 1957 Gold Top Les Paul sans effects. So simple it needs no further elaboration: try out Mystery at the Wrecking Yard for size [though there are some 'overdubs' as Travers references].
