This is native Josh Martin's homestate soundscape working beautifully across his instrumentation of acoustic & electric guitars, upright piano, electronics, tape manipulation - as well as time&space. It is an ambient landscape where the acoustic and electric patterns work in varying tones, but always calming and comforting. Every track is suggestive of a poetic bond with the place/s evoked - my favourite so far is Hwy 24 where a repeating (doppler?) effect is the pulsive soundtrack of white lanes passing along the aural highway. Ozone Light is a gorgeous tremolo blues sustained across a delightful 10 minutes.
