Robin Williamson - Trusting in the Rising Light, album review

Beautiful Inputting

I am listening to this beautiful album as I input grades here, send emails there, write reports over there. How pacifying and sweet it is to sooth the mundanity of such chores.

I didn't get Williamson and his wandering vocal when in The Incredible String Band [though I have a few favourites]. On this 2014 album, his vocal and the background playing, especially the viola of Mat Manera which is so often a perfect mirror to the rises and falls of that voice, are perfection. That looping, playful singing is simply gorgeous.

The influences are folk, the blues, eastern, monologue [poetic/comic]. I could input marks all night......
