It is widely noted that the chameleon sound of The Milk Carton Kids is a full colour absorption of Simon and Garfunkel and Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings. Whilst both these paired influences exert their harmonising hues, it is the distinct harmony of the former pair and the guitar playing of Rawlings that imbue with the most vivid reflected tones.

This is a sweet acoustic album, and quite simply it is a mirror reflection of Gillian Welch/Dave Rawlings - in both tight harmonies and dual guitar work - and/or Simon and Garfunkel, or just Paul Simon in his early solo work. Their own and real names are Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan and they are from LA.
