GospelbeacH - Pacific Surf Line, album review

Soft Touch

Sorry Lemmy, I will find something heavy to review soon, but we might as well listen to you for our fix after the sun-soaked relax of this California rockpop revamp. Culled from veteran band members of Beachwood Sparks and the Watson Twins, amongst others, this mini pop-orchestra produces just the kind of soothing sweetness you might use aurally to get set up for a proper heavy rock flush. Indeed, there are moments of class/classic harmony, for example on Come Down, but the overall lightness is perhaps too prevailing even for my prettiness digestive system. Southern Girl is similarly pleasing, but these two songs make the purest waves upon an otherwise flat expanse of beach.
