Before teaching and education were ruled by the primacy of targets and statistics and other sharps, at the end of the GCSE course and completion of 100% coursework folders [and I accept this was before technology made plagiarism easy and therefore tempting - but there wasn't the relentless pressure to 'succeed'....] I would, as a matter of duty and honour, show my English class two films:
Easy Rider and
Woodstock. Those were the days.
