It is widely noted that the chameleon sound of The Milk
Carton Kids is a full colour absorption of Simon and Garfunkel and Gillian
Welch and Dave Rawlings. Whilst both these paired influences exert their
harmonising hues, it is the distinct harmony of the former pair and the guitar
playing of Rawlings that imbue with the most vivid reflected tones.
The Kids’ latest album The
Ash & Clay is another beautiful encapsulation of this musical
