Familiar Burn
If your musical mission statement is Well I got three good chords and two good wheels you know where you
can shove the aforementioned pretentious idea. Skinny Molly plays Southern Rock
with the simplicity it deserves as long as it’s loud and with lyrics that twitch
the crotch rather than the cerebrum. And if you’re wondering where they stand
on those who postulate rather than just play, Hey rock star just shut up and rock puts it succinctly enough. There’s
no point then in elaborating because these two aphorisms say it all. Mike Estes
of Lynyrd Skynryd and Jay Johnson of Blackfoot provide the band’s credentials,
and it’s essentially like how you don’t want your bourbon to burn any different
to how it has for years before. Enjoy the buzz.
