Steckel's Milestone is still one of my favourite guitar rock albums - this and others of his reviewed here - and Black Gold continues to showcase his fine playing, singing and songwriting. All tacks demonstrate the quality of the guitar work, and instrumentals hold their own when you have to be pretty damn good to achieve this. A brilliant bluesy example is Texas 1983. Not much more to say than this is worth a listen, but I would always recommend his first Milestone if you were going to acquire one excellent album.
